2advanced

neebski:

So I just finished reading a blog from 2advanced. Kinda funny because when you typically think of a design firm or a studio you think that they must use 100% mac’s which is ultimately not the case at all at 2advanced. They say they use 98% PC’s running windows. I have to say this makes me extremely happy because if your not an idiot and you know how to use a computer it is actually much easier to do alot on a pc. Now a Mac owner I compare the two daily. I am much more productive on a PC it seems where the Mac is nice to have because it will do the basic stuff well - surfing, IM’ing, emailing, etc. Of course I run windows on the Mac so I am never to far from my windows.

2Advanced is probably one of my favorite design firms. They’re what made me go for the Thinkpad when I first has the struggle of deciding whether to get a Mac for the very first time. I remember them saying that they have one Mac sitting in the corner of their studio collecting dust which was only being used for cross-platform, cross-browser compatibility.

What was said is true, Macs are only a stereotype for designers, but it’s designer schools like Full Sail University that require you to have a Mac.

PCs can do just about anything that a Mac can do, that’s why I have Windows on my Macbook :D.
